Sahakarya Nepal
Sahakarya is a civil society initiative, started as non-political and non- religious movement with the mission of 'working together for a just society'. The initiative has been registered with the Government of Nepal (GoN) as a Non- Governmental Organisation (NGO) in June 2004.

Capacity Building

AREAS OF EXPERTISES
Organisational Analysis/ Assessment - conducted organisational assessment of more than 200 NGOs, CBOs, Local Bodies and Private Support Organisations (PSOs) during 2005 - 2006

Social Research/ Analysis and Advocacy - Conducted social analysis/ researches on the themes like poverty, gender, exclusion, discrimination, caste and ethnicity and working with different ethnic groups of Nepal in enabling them to claim their rights

Capacity Building and Organisational Development - Conducted training, workshops and coaching on the themes like organisational policies/ procedures development, financial management, development of set of objectives and strategies, documentation and disseminations to different marginalized ethnic group organisations, NGOs and CBOs.

Project/ Proposal Development - Supported different Nepali organisations in development of their project documents and proposals

Monitoring and Evaluation - Contributed in defining monitoring indicators, development of participatory monitoring and evaluation system and database for different CBOs and NGOs and also conducted project/ programme evaluation for different organisations

Knowledge Management - Supported NGOs in developing their communication strategies; documentation of case studies/ effective practices/ success stories, contributed in development of reports and dissemination materials and also developed different manuals, training materials and case studies.

Facilitation/ Training / Coaching - Facilitated series of meetings, workshops, trainings for different development agencies working in Nepal on different developmental themes e.g., good governance, climate change, peace sensitive development, organisational development, strategic planning, documentation, monitoring, evaluation and learning management.

Concept Building - Conducted orientation/ training on the issues like Rights Based Approach to Development, Appreciative Inquiry, Social mobilisation, Safe and Effective Development, Peace Sensitive Development, Team Building and Self Development
